We are so excited to be continuing our public art work in Marpole.
chART will be working in Marpole for the next two years with a new base at the Oak Park Fieldhouse. This amazing opportunity is made possible by the Vancouver Board of Parks & Recreation, the Marpole Oakridge Community Centre, and Emily Carr University of Art + Design.
chART: Public Art Marpole is a research group led by Dr. Cameron Cartiere, Associate Professor in the Faculty of Culture + Community at Emily Carr University of Art + Design. chART coordinates interdisciplinary partnerships and collaborations that create public art and community engagement projects stemming from the community of Marpole.
During our time at the Oak Park Fieldhouse, the focus of our public art and community engagement will be on environmental issues and the social and cultural connections to art within the community of Marpole.
We are looking forward to continuing our collaborations with the Marpole BIA, local schools, the Vancouver Public Library, and many of the other amazing community and cultural groups in Marpole.
